Mis-adventures of a Letterboxer-Errant

Quick update...

Life has gone round and round since we last posted here. Ever have one of those phone calls that literally 'rocked' your world? In a negative way? Well, after a VERY LONG week on top of several other VERY LONG weeks that all seemed to have blended together I picked up the phone and my tiny little world was rocked--even worse than it had already been. Sometimes you just start to wonder what reality is and what isn't. :(

Shifting gears, the last several weeks have been jam-packed with studying. I finally finished the two 'heavy duty' papers I was working on and now I'm on the fourth sub-section of phase one (another work intensive multi-section project). The clock is ticking like crazy and I often wonder if I'll even meet the suspense. Life is definitely on the 'pause' button at the moment. Hopefully, the tape isn't stretching to the point it will snap. I attempted to post some photos of some less 'stressful' moments these past few weeks but had computer glitches to the extreme and then had to bug out of town for a business trip.

I currently find myself in Boise, Idaho. "Gem Country" I had a wonderful evening hunting letterboxes with friends who share a similar passion for the hobby. What a nice treat it was to take a few hours to forget the 'real world' for a bit and to participate in some 'pass the time' fun. Too cool. We went 'fishing' for letterboxeRs and had a blast. Thanks ABear for putting together such a great event. I only wished I wasn't wandering through life like a zombie at the moment to really have a blast with the other folks.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get my photos loaded up in a few days. We took a nice drive from home through Mt Rainier, Yakima, Pendleton, La Grande, up around the Wallowa (Mountains?) to Lake Wallowa, the awesome town of Joseph and through the Hells Canyon Scenic Rec Area. What an absolutely breathtaking drive! Found another bit of the US that reminds me of parts of Austria and Switzerland. Who knew??? More later...Peace, dvn2r ckr
