Just another pot?
Amsadong pottery
A 6,000+ year old pot, that is. This is one of the many pots/pottery vessels they discovered in the Amsadong Prehistoric Settlement site. These pots had unique "comb" markings on them--either from combs or fishbones. What was interesting to note is the vessels found in modern-day South Korea had 'pointy' bottoms and required additional 'holes' dug into the ground to stand upright without tipping over. The vessels found in modern day North Korea and in regions around China had flat bottoms and didn't require the additional 'holes'. The experts don't know why these styles differed.
