Mis-adventures of a Letterboxer-Errant

"A letterboxer errant without trail entanglements would be
like a tree without leaves or fruit, or a body without a soul"

Temple of Heaven

A cypress grove lined pathway leads to the Qinian Dian or the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. This was beautiful (the photo doesn't really do it justice). It's built on a three-tiered, round stone (white marble) terrace. It is 38m high and 30m in diameter. It is completely built of wood without a single nail! The colors were absolutely brilliant! When you see pictures of Beijing, you often see this as a 'representative symbol' for the city.
