I made it! I finally crossed over into North Korea. Chalk up a new country to my 'list'. ;) The ROK Soldier at my side stands in the ROK Ready stance--a tae kwon do combat stance ready to react to anything that might occur. The Soldiers serving in the Panmunjeom area are the elite of the elites. They must pass rigorous tests and attain specific qualifications to have the privilege of serving here. Their achievement lists are incredible! I'm impressed!


For the record (& a specific audience), I have a tiny little Coca Cola matchbox car geocaching Travel Bug in my left pocket (right side as you look at the photo). For security reasons, I'm only allowed to carry a camera. No wallet, no notebooks, no coats. Just a camera. The car stays in the pocket, yet crosses into North Korea, nonetheless.
