The freedoms and liberties South Koreans enjoy today (and hopefully one day all North Koreans may experience, too) were secured with the assistance and bloodshed of many heroic individuals from these different countries during the Korean Conflict and beyond into the 'Cold War' years of the Armistice. A period which continues to this day. I am humbled knowing how many people shed their lives in securing the freedoms of people whom they didn't know. Lest we forget!!!

I learn of a unique event that occurred with the American Flag during Pres Bush's last trip to this building. I look for info about it on the internet and am unable to find any specifics. I'll keep looking.
