Mis-adventures of a Letterboxer-Errant

Don Quixote??? They just KNEW we were coming, didn't they??? This being the classic story that started this entire blog in the first place. Misadventures of a letterboxer errant. rnrB & trkr are my Sancho Panza--personified! By the way, I'm now on Chapter XXX!!! Progress!!! Well into & beyond the page 200 range of this classic--in fact, I'm almost on page 300--a MAJOR accomplishment for this particular 'mere mortal'. And most folks say Americans NEVER finish this novel!!! At least, I can say that I've surpassed the national average. ;)

Now, I only have 675 pages consisting of 76 chapters, an author's dedication & a prologue left to go. But, I think I failed to mention that since it's a classical curriculum I'm following "I'm supposed to read it THREE times through!!!" Like that will ever happen.... ;)

Hey, this picture reminds me of something I always seem to notice in Korea but never seem to remember. While navigating the myriad lines of the awesome metro subway network in Seoul, one day it dawned on me that each subway station is uniquely designed and decorated. Today, we happened upon one station decorated with Frank Llloyd Wright geometrically designed stained glass windows, another boasted absolutely stunning mosaics of children and outdoor scenes all created with teeny, tiny bits of porcelain and glass, another station seemed to be carved out of sheer rock--making folks feel as if they were deep inside of a coal mine or tunnel and another displayed giant, ornate mosaic pictures of the various athletic events that appeared during Seoul's 1988 Summer Olympic Games. One could really enjoy a neat 'vacation' just touring the 1,000 or so subway stations' art exhibits throughout Seoul. ;)
